Foundations of Nursing is the genesis of all nursing subjects. The department aims to provide basic clinical skills and indepth knowledge of the essence of nursing - the foundations. The development of clinical bedside skills for students is a major objective of the department. The novice undergraduate students are equipped to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the pre clinical lab before they are exposed to real hospital situation. The department actively trains the students in the preclinical as well as simulation labs. Along with the proficiency in basic clinical skills the department enhances the communication skills in students through regular IEC activities in clinical area. The learning experiences in the department provide a perfect base for first year B.Sc. students.
